This home was featured in Cottages & Gardens. A new-construction home in the Charcoal Hill neighborhood of Westport, CT, completed June 2025. Amy Courtney served as interior designer, transforming a modern spec house into a fully custom residence.
Layered, bespoke interior detailing removes any trace of "builder grade" origin, pairing clean-lined architecture with warmth through natural materials, custom millwork, and curated furnishings.
The result is a cohesive, livable sophistication — tailored but not flashy, contemporary but softened with texture — that reads as one-of-a-kind rather than spec.

This Rockledge home balances contrast and harmony — old-world charm with a wink of playfulness. Every room has its own personality, from grounded textures to curious patterns and sculptural moments that make you slow down. It feels lived-in yet refined, like a place filled with both stories and laughter.
The design doesn’t just reference history; it refreshes it with bold, personal touches. And it suits Florida living beautifully — light-filled, airy, and sprinkled with unexpected details that echo Rockledge’s subtle eccentricity.
Photographed by Alexander Severin, the home becomes a visual story that’s soulful, striking, and just a little rebellious.

VIEW OTHER PROJECTS ➤
This mid-century Westchester home was reimagined to reflect both function and warmth. From a sunroom-turned-theater to a fully reconfigured primary suite, every update supports the family’s lifestyle.
We introduced durable materials, layered textures, and clean-lined furnishings to create a relaxed yet intentional feel.
Each space—from the kids’ colorful bedrooms to the serene kitchen—was designed to be lived in and loved for years to come.

VIEW OTHER PROJECTS ➤
This West Village apartment was transformed from dark and dated into a bright, modern space tailored for their growing family. What began as a full gut renovation—with custom white oak millwork and a clean, mid-century–inspired palette—evolved midway through when the couple learned they were expecting their first child.
A planned home office became a cozy nursery, enclosed with ripplefold drapery. Thoughtful details like a Calacatta Viola sink add character without overwhelming the calm, functional design—making this home a true reflection of Natalie and Alex’s evolving story
